Born in 1978  in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Jane Carter was always interested in Fashion and style. Such passion led her to gain a Ba(hons) in Fashion at University of Northumbria at Newcastle. During this period, Jane worked in London as a design assistant at Katharine Hammnet, design and production assistant at Hussein Chalayan, sales consultant at Katharine Hammnett and Paul Smith and as a fittings model for Alley Capellino.

Jane furthered her love of fashion by gaining experience with the women's editor of the Sheffield Star and on Westside magazine(a sheffield based magazine). 

 In September 2008 she launched her own range of  beautiful, handmade jewellery under the label, Acapella Jewellery.

Jane's ultimate aim is to offer couture jewellery at affordable prices as many of her unique designs are one-offs.

Bringing together all her fashion experience, a passion for style and a genuine talent for design, Jane creates pieces of jewellery that are irresistable.
